Bochum's entry into the UEFA Cup round of 16 against Brugge in 1997

After the 0-1 defeat in the first leg in Bruges, the hosts were determined to reach the round of 16 of the UEFA Cup.

After just 12 minutes against Bochum, they took the lead thanks to a penalty kick from Donkov and the round of 16 seemed within reach again close.

In the 37th minute, the guests from Belgium equalized and the score went into halftime 1-1.

In the 57th minute it was striker Donkov again who made it 2: 1 equalizes.

From now on, Bochum presses for the decisive goal.
